Quality Slider
Implementation Guide & Best Practices
Overview
The Quality Slider is a visual value-positioning tool. It allows you to communicate where a product sits on the budget-to-premium scale without quoting specific prices. This is a key requirement for staying compliant with Amazon's dynamic pricing policies while still giving readers a clear sense of the product's market positioning.
How to Use
- Set the Position: Use the 1-10 grid to pick the product's position. Lower numbers (1-3) represent budget entries, while higher numbers (8-10) represent premium or high-end models.
- Add a Tagline: Write a short, descriptive sentence that summarizes the value (e.g., "The industry standard for professional use").
- Context Tags: Add up to 3 short labels (comma separated) like "Editor's Choice" or "Best Value" to provide additional social proof or categorization.
- Affiliate Tag: Ensure your associate tag is entered to track your clicks.
Visual Communication
Visual scales reduce cognitive load for your readers. By seeing a marker on a spectrum, they instantly understand if they are looking at a "savings" option or an "investment" piece. This clarity helps them make faster decisions, leading to higher click-through rates.
Installation
The Quality Slider outputs purely static HTML and CSS. The marker position is handled via standard CSS percentage styling, meaning it requires zero JavaScript to function. This makes it one of our most lightweight and reliable widgets.
